Plant A Wish Launched, Several Articles Help Spread the Word

So, Plant A Wish has officially begun, today in Paia, Maui with one donated coconut palm. Over 100 wishes (from Maui residents as well as folks as far away as Switzerland and New York) were planted in the roots of this tree, located along the driveway into the popular Maui beach at Baldwin Park.

More photos will be in the next post.

We're also quite pleased that Plant A Wish received some attention from local and global media in the last few days.

First, there's Gary Kubota's piece, "Wishes accompany planting of native tree", Honolulu Star-Bulletin, May 25, 2008.

And THEN, we were mentioned in a Real Estate Blog, "Plant A Wish and support native reforestation projects on Maui", by Georgina Hunter, The Maui Hunter Real Estate Blog.

And lastly, thanks to the Free Soil Project (www.free-soil.org) for posting a link to us in their news section!
